Experience the difference yourself
We bring everything needed to create the experience — the portrait setup, lighting, printing equipment and display — and take care of it from start to finish.
On the day, we work around the natural flow of your wedding, guide your guests through the portraits and manage the printing behind the scenes, so there’s nothing for you to coordinate or keep track of.
All we need is a suitable space, a table for the finished prints, and a little help making sure your guests know the experience is there for them.

3. WE EXHIBIT
During the reception, the finished portraits are brought together in a dedicated display for your guests to discover. It becomes another memorable moment within the evening, as people gather around, find their photographs and enjoy seeing the personalities and friendships that make up your celebration.
How it works.
During cocktail hour, your guests are invited into the portrait space for a relaxed, guided session. They can step in alone, as couples, with friends or alongside family. With thoughtful direction and beautiful lighting, we create portraits that feel polished, expressive and true to the people in them.
2. WE PRINT
While the celebration continues, we carefully select and print the portraits onsite as 6x8 fine art photographs with a clean white border. This usually happens out of sight, allowing the finished collection to remain a surprise until it is revealed during the reception.

At the end of the night, each portrait becomes a personal gift for your guests to take home. More meaningful than a traditional wedding favour, it is something created especially for them - a beautifully printed reminder of how they looked, how they felt and the celebration they shared with you.
We’re Taz and Reid, two brothers who have spent the past 9 years photographing over 400 weddings together.
The Portrait Experience grew from something we kept noticing: some of the most important people at a wedding are often only photographed in passing. We wanted to create something that gave those people their own moment — while still feeling considered, beautiful and completely at home within the wedding itself.
Every portrait is photographed with the same care and intention we bring to our wedding work.

Absolutely. The Portrait Experience is designed to work alongside your existing wedding photography rather than compete with it. Your photographer can continue documenting the day as normal while our team focuses specifically on creating the guest portrait experience during cocktail hour.

Can we book The Portrait Experience if we already have a wedding photographer?
How is this different from a photo booth?

A photo booth is usually about quick snapshots. The Portrait Experience is about giving your guests the feeling of stepping into a proper portrait studio. Professional lighting, considered direction and beautifully finished photographs make it feel much more elevated, while still keeping the fun and spontaneity that makes it enjoyable for everyone.
Quite the opposite. We typically photograph during cocktail hour, when guests are already mingling and enjoying themselves. The experience becomes part of that atmosphere rather than pulling people away from it, and gives them something memorable to enjoy while the wedding naturally transitions into the reception.
The portraits are prepared and printed onsite, typically out of sight while the celebration continues. Later in the reception, the finished 6x8 fine art prints are revealed as a collection for your guests to discover. Seeing a portrait taken only hours earlier already printed and waiting for them becomes a special part of the experience in itself.
Yes. After the wedding, you’ll receive a complete online gallery of all the portraits captured throughout the experience, including the individual portraits as well as the couple, family and group photographs. It means you’ll have the full collection to look back on, download and share with your guests afterwards.

It absolutely can be. Rather than spending money on a traditional favour that may be forgotten or left behind, you’re giving your guests something personal that was created at your wedding. It’s a beautifully finished photograph they can take home, frame and genuinely keep for years.
Is this also our wedding favour?
Typically a 3x3 metre space works well. We’ll work with you and your venue to choose a suitable area that feels connected to cocktail hour while still giving us enough room to create the look of the portraits. We bring the backdrop, lighting and equipment required, so the experience can work within a wide range of venues.
