Let us introduce ourselves: we’re Taz and Reid, brothers from Australia who somehow found ourselves telling love stories for a living.
In 2017, we photographed our first wedding and it immediately felt unique. The energy of the day — the people, the emotion, the fleeting moments — made us realise there was something special about documenting weddings.
But we knew we wanted to approach it a little differently. We were tired of seeing predictable compositions and photography that felt disconnected from the people in it. We were drawn to energy, honesty and feeling — the kind of images that bring you back into a moment with the same emotions every single time.
Our approach is creative & intentional. Throughout the day, we love dynamic compositions and searching for honesty and art in unrepeatable moments, while giving just enough direction when it helps create something considered. The Portrait Experience takes that same philosophy and turns the focus toward your guests — creating space to photograph the people you love with intention, while giving them an experience that feels personal, memorable and completely different to the usual wedding portrait.
We believe great photography isn’t just about creating beautiful images — it’s about preserving the people and feeling that made the day what it was. Years from now, when life has moved on and the day has become a story you tell, these photographs will bring you back to it — the people, the atmosphere and all the little moments in between. Creating something that can carry a moment through time like that is the reason we do this.

It will always be us, Taz and Reid, at every wedding we take on. Depending on your collection we may have an associate shooter working alongside us, but we will never send subcontractors to shoot your wedding on our behalf, which is something worth being very clear on when choosing any photo or video team
Absolutely! But we also don’t think most people are actually awkward. Usually, they’ve just been put in awkward situations, so our approach is to give calm, natural direction that helps you feel comfortable, without forcing fake laughs, cringey poses, or moments that don’t feel like you.
It gives you the best of both worlds: complete wedding photography alongside a dedicated experience created specifically for your guests. Because we’re handling both, we can make sure each complements the other without sacrificing moments happening elsewhere.
